Common Questions
Janitorial Services FAQ
What's the difference between janitorial services and office cleaning?
The terms overlap, but in practice janitorial services typically describe a broader, facility-maintenance scope covering multiple building types and a wider range of tasks, while office cleaning usually refers to a more defined scope focused on a single office environment. WellNest uses both terms to mean the same thing: a recurring, written-scope cleaning program performed by a consistent assigned crew. The scope is determined by your facility during the walkthrough, not by the label.
Can we schedule janitorial service during business hours?
Yes. Daytime service is available for facilities that prefer it or require it for access reasons. WellNest crews are accustomed to working around staff and visitors. For most accounts, after-hours service is more practical, but if your facility is 24-hour, has restricted access after closing, or you simply prefer a daytime presence, we can accommodate that during the proposal.
How often do most facilities schedule janitorial service?
It depends on the facility type and traffic level. Office spaces with under 20 staff typically do well on a two-to-three-times-per-week program. Higher-traffic facilities, multi-tenant buildings, and facilities with common restrooms used by the public often need daily service. WellNest will recommend a frequency based on your actual facility during the walkthrough. There is no one-size-fits-all answer, and a program that doesn't match your real usage won't serve you well.
Are your employees bonded and insured?
Yes. Every WellNest employee is a W-2 employee (not a gig worker or independent contractor), hired, vetted, background-checked, trained, bonded, and insured by WellNest directly. This means you have a single accountable company behind every person entering your facility, and proper liability coverage if anything is ever damaged or goes wrong. Documentation is available on request.
How does commercial cleaning pricing work?
Commercial cleaning is quoted after an on-site walkthrough, not over the phone or from a square-footage estimate alone. Every facility is different, and scope, frequency, access requirements, and supply needs all affect the program. After the walkthrough, you'll receive a detailed written proposal within 2 business days covering all of that. No surprise charges, no vague estimates.
What if we're not satisfied with the cleaning?
Contact us directly. Same-day response during business hours, within one business day after hours. If something was missed or not done to the agreed standard, we'll address it promptly. Commercial accounts have a named point of contact, not a generic support queue, so issues get resolved by someone who knows your facility.
What areas does WellNest serve with its commercial cleaning services?
WellNest serves businesses in Northern Virginia (including Alexandria and Arlington), Washington D.C., and parts of Maryland such as Bethesda, Columbia, and Rockville.
